Do listeners have Caller ID? Can they see my name and phone #?

No. Your call is transferred from our system to a Listener. The Listener will see 1.800.454.7836 on their Caller ID.

Is my phone call recorded?

Phone calls are not monitored or recorded by our system.
Listeners are not permitted to record calls.
We understand that some callers may be concerned with voice recognition, so we encourage those
callers to place a cloth or plastic wrap over the bottom of their phone.

May I request a specific Listener?

No. Your call is routed to the next available Listener.

What are the “transaction charges?”

We want to keep our fees affordable, so more people can benefit from our Listening service.
We ask you to help us offset the fees charged to us by your bank, our credit card processor and other behind the scenes fees we are billed.
The 'transaction charges' will be no more than $2 per 15-minute call.

Will the listeners hang up on me if I accidentally swear?

No. “Colorful language” is permitted (and most often therapeutic). However, comments of a vulgar or sexual nature are not allowed.

What happens if my call gets disconnected?

Cell phone reception varies, so we ask that you call when your signal is strong.
We do not offer refunds.

Are Listeners located in the US?

Yes. Additionally, U.S. law requires companies to employ only individuals who may legally work in the United States – either U.S. citizens, or foreign citizens who have the necessary authorization.

What is E-Verify?

E-Verify is an Internet-based system that compares information from an employee's Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification, to data from U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Social Security Administration records to confirm that someone is authorized to work in the United States.
